It is the Persian custom of asking the Divan of Hafez for guidance. You make a wish, the book is opened at random, and the ghazal on that page is read as your answer.
On the first page, hold your wish in mind (you may write it down), then press “Open the Divan”. One of the 495 ghazals is drawn at random and shown with its interpretation.
There is no limit on the site. Tradition says no more than three in one sitting, out of respect for Hafez, and the site reminds you after the third.
Yes. All 495 ghazals are here in Persian with a translation and an interpretation in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, and an interpretation in Persian. The Persian original is always shown beside the translation.

On Android or a computer, choose “Install” when the site offers it, or use the browser menu. On iPhone or iPad, tap Share and then “Add to Home Screen”. The Divan then also opens without an internet connection.
It shows the customary preparation and then a verse of the Quran chosen at random, with its meaning in your language. It does not give a verdict of good or bad; for an important decision, ask a scholar you trust.
