Ghazal 242: Come, for the banner of the victorious king has arrived

بیا که رایت منصور پادشاه رسید
نوید فتح و بشارت به مهر و ماه رسید

جمال بخت ز روی ظفر نقاب انداخت
کمال عدل به فریاد دادخواه رسید

سپهر، دور خوش اکنون کند که ماه آمد
جهان به کام دل اکنون رسد که شاه رسید

ز قاطعان طریق این زمان شوند ایمن
قوافل دل و دانش که مرد راه رسید

عزیز مصر به رغم برادران غیور
ز قعر چاه برآمد به اوج ماه رسید

کجاست صوفی دجال فعل ملحدشکل
بگو بسوز، که مهدی دین پناه رسید

صبا بگو که چه‌ها بر سرم در این غم عشق
ز آتش دل سوزان و دود آه رسید

ز شوق روی تو شاها بدین اسیر فراق
همان رسید کز آتش به برگ کاه رسید

مرو به خواب که حافظ به بارگاه قبول
ز ورد نیم شب و درس صبحگاه رسید

Come, for the banner of the victorious king has arrived;
the tidings of triumph and the good news have reached sun and moon.

The beauty of fortune has cast the veil from the face of victory;
the perfection of justice has come to the cry of the one who seeks redress.

The sphere now turns pleasantly, for the moon has come;
the world now attains its heart's desire, for the king has arrived.

From the highway robbers they are now made safe,
the caravans of heart and knowledge, for the man of the road has arrived.

The beloved of Egypt, in spite of his jealous brothers,
has risen from the bottom of the pit and reached the height of the moon.

Where is the Sufi with the deeds of Antichrist and the look of a heretic?
Tell him to burn, for the Mahdi, refuge of the faith, has arrived.

East wind, tell him what has befallen me in this grief of love,
from the fire of the burning heart and the smoke of sighs.

From longing for your face, O king, to this captive of separation
there has come what comes from fire to a blade of straw.

Do not fall asleep, for Hafez reached the court of acceptance
through the litany of midnight and the lesson of the early morning.
