Ghazal 261: Come in, so that strength may come back into the weary heart
Come in, so that strength may come back into the weary heart;
come, so that the soul may come back into the dead body.
Come, for separation from you has so shut my eyes
that only the opening of the door of union with you will open them again.
The grief that like an army of darkness seized the kingdom of the heart
will be wiped away again by the bright host of the joy of your face.
Whatever I hold up before the mirror of the heart,
it shows me nothing back but the image of your beauty.
By the saying that "the night is pregnant", far from you
I count the stars, to see what the night will bring forth.
Come, for the nightingale of Hafez's graceful mind
is singing again in the hope of the rose bush of union with you.
Interpretation of the fal
You are waiting for the arrival of someone whose presence gives you new life. The sorrow that has taken hold of your heart will vanish when you see them. You think of nothing but that person. The night is pregnant with events: be patient and see what tomorrow brings. The signs are good.
