20 Mehr (about 12 October)
In the Iranian calendar, 20 Mehr is the day of commemoration of Hafez. Readings, music and gatherings are held at his tomb in Shiraz and wherever Persian is loved.
It is a day to read a ghazal aloud, to share a favourite couplet, and to take a fal with the people you are with.
