Ghazal 402: Let me tell you a charming point: look at the mole of that moon-faced one

Let me tell you a charming point: look at the mole of that moon-faced one;
see reason and soul bound in the chain of that hair.

I blamed my heart: do not be so wild and wandering.
It said: look at the lion-seizing eye and the coquetry of that gazelle.

The ring of his tress is the pleasure house of the east wind;
see there the souls of a hundred men of heart bound by a single hair.

The worshippers of the sun know nothing of our heart-stealer;
you who reproach me, for God's sake do not look at the face: look at that face.

His heart-stealing tress has put a halter on the neck of the east wind;
see the Hindu's trick on those who walk the road as his partisans.

That in seeking him I have become free of myself:
no one has seen or will see the like of him; look on every side.

If Hafez moans in the corner of the prayer niche, it is right;
you who give advice, for God's sake look at the curve of that eyebrow.

O sky, do not turn your head from the wish of Shah Mansur;
look at the sharpness of his sword, see the strength of his arm.

Interpretation of the fal

Your heart is attached to someone or something that is worth it, whatever others may say in reproach. Those who blame you have not seen what you have seen. In this search you have been freed from self-regard, and that in itself is a great gain. You have a strong supporter who advances your cause: rely on them and do not turn back from your road.
